I just bought from wish my newest dermaroller. It's a 0.2 needle size because I was a bit afraid of the pain and I'll just go slowly with it.
I've tried yesterday and it hurts a bit and the skin gets really red but no blood! Uff!
So, pro's and con's on the torture instrument :)
PRO'S
- diminishes acne scars
- Evens skin texture
- Diminishes melasma and dark spots
- Diminishes signs of age
- Because it causes tiny fractures on the skin, the brain thinks the skin is injured and increases collagen and accelerate healing.
- Skincare products tou apply after will be more skin-deep.
CON'S
- It hurts (nothing you can't handle)
- The face gets really red and soared
- You shouldn't leave the house and get sunlight that day
- You shouldn't use make up that day, because the skin is "open" to products to sink in.
Remember sweeties, I'm using a 0.2 size and bigger sizes will do more damage to the skin than this one! I'll be using this at night once a week and later I'll do my honest review with before and after pics for you to see!
My skincare routine yesterday with the dermaroller was like that:
- Double clean the face (as kskin experts say, first clean with oilbased cleanser, follow with water based cleanser) with Eve Mom cleanser, after with Larocheposay mousse de eau micellaire
- Used the dermaroller on my face, with soft movements for about 10 min
- After I used resveratrol 3% + Ferulic acid 3% from Theordinary
- Finished with vitamin C 23% + HA also from Theordinary.
At this time the face was really red and stinging and I had to put some cold cloth in my face. I should finish with a regenerating or calming mask, but I'm currently out of stock of those...
So, my thoughts for you: search well before, consult a professional and use the products best suited for your skin type! Mine is acne prone, oily but dehydrated!
Lot's of love, Cristina
